This hat would be 5/5 if not for the "Eagles Everywhere" abomination on the side. "Eagles Everywhere?" As the Eagles "rally cry" !?! What are we doing, 47 Brand? "Fly Eagles Fly" or "Go Birds" are so clearly the only correct, not to mention objectively better, choices.

But, I still like the fit and the small-ish vintage logo patch, so I bought this hat and promptly unstitched the Eagles Everywhere embarrassment so it's clean white all the way around. The DIY process caused only minor wear/tear/fraying that I'm expecting will age well with the hat as it now assumes the undisputed top spot in my rotation for years to come.

Also, the white on white rope is just fine, I guess. Kelly green or even no rope would be superior in my opinion (I'll allow that's at least subjective). I've also debated cutting the rope but figure I'll leave it for now b/c it's so barely noticeable - which further begs the question, why include it at all? Tucking the rope is also an option if you want the optionality.

It's as if a designer (or worse, a team of them?) was like "we have to add a 'rally cry' to the side" ... "all the cool hats have ropes right now, we have to add one of those, too."
