UCLA BRUINS
One of the NCAA’s most storied basketball programs, the UCLA Bruins played their first game in 1919 but would become a collegiate dynasty in the ‘60s and ‘70s, starting with their first NCAA title in 1964. Over those two decades, the Bruins would come to dominate the NCAA and break multiple records, including 4 undefeated seasons, 13 title game appearances, and 13 consecutive conference championships from 1967 to 1979. UCLA has won 31 conference titles in all but is best known for its record 11 national championships.
Our Bruins ’47 Sigma tee celebrates UCLA’s record 11 NCAA titles. The front of the tee features UCLA’s “Champions Made Here” slogan and a vintage bruin logo over a ‘60s center court design. The rear lists the school’s record 11 national championships around a basketball illustration, with text highlighting UCLA’s home at Pauley Pavilion. The corresponding Bruins ’47 HITCH is constructed from a black and white two-tone thick corduroy and features details embroidered in UCLA’s iconic blue and gold.
KENTUCKY WILDCATS
One of the most successful programs in college basketball history, the Wildcats lead the NCAA with the highest all-time winning percentage. Playing its first game in 1903, Kentucky would win its first conference championship in 1926 and its first NCAA title in 1948. A college basketball powerhouse, Kentucky leads the NCAA with 59 tournament appearances and 131 tournament victories. The Wildcats have played in 12 NCAA Championship games, going on to win eight NCAA national championships.
Our Wildcats ’47 Sigma tee honors one of the winningest teams in college basketball. The front of the tee features a full-color retro wildcat illustration and “Big Blue Nation” script that honors the Kentucky fanbase, while the back chronicles each NCAA national championship in the signature checkerboard pattern. Our Kentucky ’47 HITCH echoes these designs with Wildcat blue embroidery on a black and white two-tone thick corduroy snapback.
NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS
Established in 1911, North Carolina would win their first conference title in 1923 and their first NCAA championship in 1957. The top seed in the NCAA tournament a record 17 times, the Tar Heels have appeared in a record 21 Final Fours and are the only school to reach the Final Four in nine consecutive decades. A perennial tournament favorite, North Carolina has won six NCAA championships and seven national titles overall.
Our Tar Heels ’47 Sigma tee celebrates one of the most successful programs in college basketball history. The front features an illustration of mascot Rameses in an ’82-’83 championship season jersey over clouds evoking the “Blue Heaven” of Chapel Hill. The rear honors North Carolina’s seven national championships with stacked text reminiscent of ’82-’83 era graphics. The matching Tar Heels ’47 HITCH is a two-tone structured snapback crafted from thick corduroy with intricately detailed Carolina blue embroidery.
