Show Your Independence with Green and Blue!

Long before Vermont was a State, it was frontier. Then it was its own Republic (from 1777-1791), or in other words, an independent country before it was the first state to join the Union. So Vermont has long been an independent state and it was thanks in large part to Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys, who defended its independence from New Hampshire and New York and then seized the British Fort at Fort Ticonderoga during the Revolutionary War. This logo was their flag--on a green background. And yes, it is accurate and well done here. A very cool logo that, in its own right, will get you a lot of questions ("is that an error?" "What is that?" "Where is the rest of the flag?") You can now tell your friends that you are tipping your hat to the legendary Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys if you are a history buff, or say that you are wearing it as a salute to the modern-day Vermont Air National Guard, whose men (and women) are proud to use the "Green Mountain Boys" monicker to this day. Either way, it is a colorful green hat that is sharp with a nice blue star field and the script, "Green Mountain Boys" on the back. Great '47 fit and quality. Wear it on your next trip to Vermont or wherever you are going.
