Dinner With The D'angelos
At ’47, DNA is in our brand DNA. From an early age, twin Italian immigrant brothers Henry and Arthur D’Angelo went to work in their street cart, carving a spot in the sports licensing industry and never turning back. The brothers attribute their success to the relationships they built and the values that kept them guided.
70 years later, ’47 is infused with that same passion and entrepreneurial spirit, while remaining a family business that always feels exactly like that –– family.
A second generation of D’Angelos spearheads the charge to maintain a familial culture while reflecting on our story in everything we do. In fact, if you catch one of Arthur’s four sons (now ’47 co-owners) Bobby, David, Mark and Steven, they’ll tell you a sweet story (or ten) about growing up under their father and uncle’s wings.
Bottom line, we’re a bunch of softies. To celebrate Father’s Day and pay homage to ’47’s roots, we sat down for an Italian family supper with Arthur and his sons to hear those coveted stories. So pull up a chair –– pasta’s up and the appies are ready!
Happy Father’s Day from our family to yours.
